On σκηνὴν πηγνύναι s. πήγνυμι 2) prim. ‘the setting up of tents’ or ‘construction of huts’. As name for the Festival of Booths/Tabernacles (σκ. in this sense, mostly w. ἑορτή: Dt 16:16; 31:10; Zech 14:16, 18, 19; 1 Esdr 5:50; 2 Macc 1:9 [τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς σκ.]; Jos., Ant. 4, 209; 8, 100; 123; 11, 154; 13, 241; 372; 15, 50, Bell. 2, 515. Jewish ins fr.
